YEG Built For Life Foundation is a not-for-profit organization in Edmonton, AB, that helps women and children who are experiencing domestic violence with safety planning and resources to support each unique situation. In our early stages, we are recruiting members to become part of an organization that actively engages community members and raises awareness about intimate partner violence and coercive control while advocating for Women's and Children's Rights.
We are seeking members to join our organization who have a passion for human rights and advocacy to be the "voice of change" for women and children whose voices have been silenced for far too long while offering a supportive role in research, policy developments and legislation changes to continue our journey to #BreakTheSilenceAgainstDomesticViolence.
Members who have a passion for advocacy and justice can apply to become Board Members after six months with the YEG Built For Life Foundation. Board Members are contracted to serve an initial 1-year term and can apply to renew for 2-year terms thereafter.

Mission: To assist women and children experiencing domestic violence, intimate partner violence and any type of abuse with resources to plan and execute a safe exit from the situation, provide resources to support their immediate needs and advocate for women's and children's rights. We aim to #BreakTheSilenceAgainstDomesticViolence and end gender-based violence against women and children.
Vision: To empower women's mental health through physical fitness, including self care practices and re-building self confidence. #EmpoweringWomenForLife
